The concert series is held under the artistic direction of composer Kyriakos Kosta and pianist Marianna Georgiou. It will feature familiar cinema melodies in new arrangements, with particular emphasis on compositions from the 21st century.

The programme is designed to connect live music with moving images in a unified audiovisual production.

The series will premiere on Wednesday, September 9, at the Attikon Open-Air Theatre in Paphos. It will continue at Melini village’s central square on September 11, Simou village on October 2, and Panagia village’s Community Council Square on October 3.

All performances will begin at 8pm and admission is free.

Performers and video art

The ensemble will include Marianna Georgiou on piano, Kyriakos Kosta on keyboards and arrangements, Nikos Pittas on flute, Miranda Papaneokleous on cello, Nikos Ioannou on double bass and Dona Amyrotou on percussion.

Original interactive video art by Andreas Christoforou, created specifically for the production, will accompany the performances.

The Paphos premiere is organised by the Municipality of Paphos, while the subsequent concerts form part of the Cultural Decentralisation Programme.
