People are dissatisfied with the new rule of the Central Bank of Cyprus

The bank customers are complaining to the Central bank of Cyprus.

People are upset that they have to provide additional supporting documentation when using 500 Euro notes.

According to the Cyprus Mail, these rules are implemented in accordance with the EU framework to combat money laundering.

The Central Bank reminded that 500 Euro notes are sill legal way of payment, however are requesting the public to be cooperative when making transactions with these kind of notes.
