Larnaca, Cyprus. Petrolina’s net profit more than tripled to €9.94 million in the first half of 2026, up from around €3 million a year earlier, according to its latest interim results. Turnover rose 56 per cent to €415.5 million.

Acquisition drives revenue

The increase in turnover for the six months to June 30 was driven mainly by the inclusion of eWise Cyprus, formerly ExxonMobil Cyprus, after Petrolina completed its acquisition on January 30. Higher international petroleum-product prices also supported revenue.

The acquisition brought the business operating Cyprus’s Esso network fully into the Petrolina group. Petrolina says eWise is now a wholly owned subsidiary and an authorised supplier of Esso-branded fuels through a nationwide network of service stations.

Aviation-fuelling contribution rises

The result also reflected an increased contribution from Petrolina’s associated companies involved in aircraft refuelling at Larnaca and Paphos airports.

In June, Petrolina said it expected a substantial improvement in first-half profitability, mainly because eWise’s results would be consolidated from the acquisition date. It also expected the acquisition’s accounting effect to support earnings.

Petrolina completed the transaction through its wholly owned subsidiary Med Energywise Ltd after receiving the required regulatory approvals. The deal expanded its position in the Cypriot fuel market by bringing the Esso business alongside its existing operations.
