Police find 115 illegally trapped birds in Larnaca district

Larnaca, Cyprus. Police said on Sunday that officers found 115 birds illegally trapped in nets in an area of Larnaca district where hunting is prohibited. The investigation is ongoing.

Birds and equipment found

Of the birds found, 105 were alive and were released back into the wild. Twelve birds were dead.

Police also found three sound-producing devices playing wild bird calls and seven nets.
