In Strovolos, outages were reported in the Ayios Vasileios area from 3.12pm, with restoration expected by 6.30pm. Chryseleousa and the area around the presidential palace were also affected from about 2.16pm, with supply expected to return by 5.30pm.
Larnaca areas affected
The villages of Ayia Anna, Kalo Chorio, Mosfiloti and Psevdas in Larnaca district lost electricity shortly before 2pm. The EAC estimated that supply would be restored by 5pm in all four areas.
Scheduled outages
Separate planned electricity cuts were announced for Larnaca district. Part of Aradippou is scheduled to be affected from 8am until midday on Friday, while a planned outage in the Makenzie area is scheduled from 8am until 1pm on Saturday.
In Paphos district, a scheduled outage was listed for part of Poli Chrysochous from 8am until 3pm on Thursday.
