Paralimni, Cyprus. Paralimni–Dheryneia municipality said saplings donated by the bicommunal technical committee for cultural heritage have been planted along a road to enhance the area’s aesthetic appeal.


Donation and handover

The committee’s head, Sotos Ktoris, handed the saplings to Mayor Giorgos Nikolettos during a meeting attended by committee members Angelos Smagas and Giorgos Kyprianou, and Dheryneia Deputy Mayor Nikos Lillis.

Planting locations

Municipal workers planted the saplings along the road between the Ayios Panteleimonas roundabout and the Profitis Elias area, the municipality said.

Future donations and remarks

The municipality said more saplings were expected to be donated in the future for planting in other central locations. Nikolettos said the initiative was an important contribution to improving the local environment and expanding urban greenery.
