Yellow warning issued for isolated heavy thunderstorms in parts of Cyprus

Nicosia, Cyprus. The meteorology department has issued a yellow warning for isolated heavy thunderstorms on Monday. The warning applies to mountainous areas, inland and the northern parts of Cyprus between 12pm and 6pm.

The department said the precipitation rate could locally exceed 35 millimetres per hour and urged the public to exercise caution.
