Wage and non-wage costs

Cystat said hourly wages and salaries rose by 3.9 per cent compared with the second quarter of 2025, while non-wage costs increased by 3.6 per cent.

The overall increase was faster than the 3.4 per cent annual rise in hourly labour costs recorded in the first quarter of 2026 and marginally above the 3.7 per cent increase reported in the second quarter of 2025.

Wage growth accelerated from 3.4 per cent in the first quarter, while the increase in non-wage costs rose from 3 per cent.
