Paphos police confiscated a drone 

An unmanned drone was confiscated by police in Paphos, when a tourist was operating in the area of medieval castle in Kato Paphos area.

It turned out that the owner of the device did not obtain the necessary permit from the Civil Aviation Department, as required by law.

According to the present legislation, every unmanned aerial vehicle used in Cyprus, including a drone, must be registered and the insurance must be obtained for using the device over populated areas.
