“Green” managed to postpone the cutting of 25 trees

Activists of the Green Party managed to postpone the cutting of 25 trees in Nicosia. The hearing for that matter was set for 17th of February.

Protestants met on Friday morning in order to prevent the cutting of cypresses along the Larnaka avenue, which was arranged in order to allow for the widening of the road.

Mukhtaris of Aglandzia Costas Kortas stated that trees are obstructing the view for the drivers, which makes the road dangerous.

He also added that he has a very important task to fulfil: improve the road near the University, add the necessary amount of pedestrian roads and two additional lanes exclusively for the buses.
