Cyprus’s three major water parks, opening seasons, travel details, restrictions for children and a practical checklist. Opening times, prices and availability should be checked on the day of your visit.

Water Parks in Cyprus: How to Choose and Prepare for Your Visit

Checked: 13 September 2026.

Which major water parks are open in Cyprus

Cyprus’s official tourism portal lists three major open-air water parks: Fasouri Watermania in the Limassol area, WaterWorld near Ayia Napa, and Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark in Paphos. The old ‘Top 5’ label in the page URL has been retained for historical reasons, but this should not be taken to imply that closed or small-scale facilities are currently operating parks.

All three venues are designed for a full day’s visit and combine thrilling slides, swimming pools, lazy rivers and areas for younger children. The range of attractions varies, so it is best to choose not by the number of slides, but by the age of your group, height restrictions, distance from your accommodation and whether you are prepared to spend most of the day in the sun.

The park’s status was verified on 13 September 2026, but the fact that the website is live does not guarantee that it will be open on any given day. Water parks are seasonal, and opening hours may change due to weather, maintenance work and special events. Before setting off, check the official calendar for your chosen park and the date on your ticket.

Fasouri Watermania near Limassol

Fasouri is situated to the west of Limassol city centre, so walking from the tourist area is generally not practical. Plan to travel by car, taxi or a seasonal shuttle service. The official website warns that opening days and times are subject to change; in 2026, the main operating period runs from May to early October.

The park is ideal for groups looking for a wide range of activities and willing to spend almost the whole day there. Before booking, make a list of attractions suitable for the youngest and most cautious members of your group. If there are few suitable areas, the park’s sheer size won’t make up for the long journey and the separate admission fee for an accompanying adult.

Check the accessibility of the route from the car park or drop-off point to the entrance, locker hire, food policies and re-entry options. These details are more important for families with pushchairs, medication or special dietary requirements than the advertised list of rides. It is best to confirm specific conditions with the park in writing.

WaterWorld near Ayia Napa

WaterWorld is situated on the western side of Ayia Napa and is themed around ancient Greek myths. The official website states 2 April as the opening date for the 2026 summer season and lists bus 102 as one of the transport options from Ayia Napa and Protaras. It is still advisable to check the bus timetable and stops on the day of your trip.

This option makes particular sense for holidaymakers on the east coast: the short transfer leaves more time to spend at the park. However, the proximity does not mean there are no queues or restrictions. Choose a meeting point, introduce your child to the staff and explain the rules, and do not leave your belongings unattended simply because the area is supervised.

If your main aim is a specific ride, check its requirements before paying: minimum or maximum height, weight limit, boarding procedure and whether you can ride with a child. Restrictions are set by the ride operator, and the staff member at the start is entitled to refuse entry even if you have a ticket.

Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark

Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark is situated in the tourist area of Paphos and is generally more convenient for visitors staying on the west coast. Before your visit, check the official website for the season, last admission times and transport options from your area. Just because it’s called Paphos doesn’t mean every hotel is nearby: the city and the resort area are spread out.

For families, it’s not just the big slides that matter, but also the depth of the pools, shade, quiet areas and clear routes between them. Compare the park map with your group’s actual capabilities. One adult shouldn’t be waiting at an extreme ride whilst thinking they’re keeping an eye on a child in another area.

If travelling from Limassol, Larnaca or the eastern resorts, factor in the journey time and an evening return. A full day in the water is more tiring than a normal walk. If the journey takes up a significant part of the day, a park closer to your accommodation will often be more practical than one with a higher rating or a one-off discount.

Age, height and accompanying adults

There is no single age limit for all attractions. The decision may depend on height, weight, swimming ability and the specific ride’s instructions. The phrase ‘suitable for children’ refers to the park as a whole, not to each individual slide. Measure your child’s height in advance and check the height restrictions before your visit to ensure your expectations are realistic.

Inflatable rings, armbands and life jackets are no substitute for adult supervision. Use only authorised equipment and follow the lifeguards’ instructions. In the wave pool, at the bottom of a slide and in the lazy river, a child can quickly lose their balance, so an accompanying adult must remain within immediate reach.

Agree on what to do if the group gets separated: tell a member of staff the adult’s name, wait at a clearly visible, agreed-upon spot, and do not go beyond the gates. Write your contact details on a waterproof wristband, but do not include any unnecessary personal information. Teenagers also need a communication plan, as their mobile phones are usually left in their lockers.

Accessibility and individual limitations

An accessible entrance does not mean that every slide is accessible. Check the surface of the routes, gradients, steps, handrails, accessible changing rooms and toilets, how to enter the water and the possibility of a safe transfer. Send the park a description of the assistance required, without unnecessary medical details, and ask for a response regarding specific areas.

Pregnancy, cardiovascular conditions, back injuries, mobility limitations and certain other conditions may preclude use of steep slides. Follow the warnings at the attraction and your doctor’s advice. Even a calm pool requires an assessment of water temperature, stability and the route out of the water.

Ask whether a companion can assist you along the route, whether a separate ticket is required, where to store medication, and how to contact the first-aid post. Do not assume that the necessary equipment will be available without prior request. Checking with the park before purchasing reduces the risk of a trip you are unable to enjoy.

Checklist for a safe day

The day before, check opening times, tickets, transport, restrictions and the weather forecast. Bring water in accordance with the park’s rules, sun cream, a hat, footwear suitable for hot surfaces, a change of dry clothes and a waterproof bag. Reapply sun cream as directed and take breaks in the shade before you start to overheat.

Once there, read the sign for each ride, remove any prohibited items and wait for the staff member’s signal. Do not link your rings together, do not change position whilst on the ride and do not linger in the landing area. Alcohol, tiredness and the desire to ‘fit everything in’ impair your reaction times; it is safer to skip a ride than to make a risky attempt.

Before leaving, allow the group to rest and have a drink, check on the driver’s condition and confirm the return transport time. In the event of an injury or a sudden deterioration in your health, contact staff immediately, rather than waiting until you return to the hotel. Check the timetable again for your next visit: the information on this page reflects the date it was last checked, not permanent opening hours.
