Why get married in Cyprus?
Do you dream of a wedding in Cyprus? Believe us, it’s easy, straightforward and absolutely stunning! Let’s take a look at all the benefits of organising a wedding ceremony in Cyprus!
No visa required
For citizens of Russia, Ukraine and a number of other countries, all you need to enter the Republic of Cyprus is a printed e-visa (issued online), which allows you to stay on the island for up to 3 months from the date of arrival.
In practice, you can often get this much-coveted document on the very same day, but it’s best to submit your application in advance — no more than 3 months, but no less than 3 working days before your planned flight.
Your marriage is completely legal
Even at an outdoor ceremony by the sea, your marriage, solemnised by a representative of a Cypriot local authority, is fully legal.
A certified translation of the marriage certificate (with an apostille) is equivalent to a similar document issued by the registry office in your home country.
A small set of documents
Gathering the documents required to register your marriage in Cyprus is a responsible but straightforward task. We’re confident you’ll manage it!
Professional advice
You can make use of the services of our wedding coordinator, who will help you avoid pre-wedding jitters and sort out any issues that are worrying you at any stage of the preparations, whether it’s organising the wedding ceremony, questions about gathering documents, or psychological support 🙂
Sunny weather
There’s a 99% chance of sunny weather on your wedding day. The sun shines brightly in Cyprus for almost 360 days a year! The likelihood of it being overcast on your wedding day is negligible (exclusively during a brief winter spell).
A honeymoon right after the… wedding ceremony
And most importantly! A wedding in Cyprus is a wonderful opportunity to spend your honeymoon (a couple of weeks or a few days) with your other half on the shores of the gentle Mediterranean Sea!
Of course, once two people in love have decided to be together ‘until death do us part’, what does it matter where and when they sign the marriage certificate? What matters is how the newlyweds will live their lives together — hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder. We couldn’t agree more.
But before you’re asked the big question – are you ready to become husband and wife? – ask yourself: what sort of wedding have you been dreaming of?
