UCLan — British education in Cyprus

12 - 14 University Avenue Pyla, 7080 Larnaka, Cyprus University

About the company

UCLan Cyprus is the first and, as yet, only international branch of the University of Central Lancashire, based in Preston in the north of the UK. The university opened its doors to its first Cypriot students in October 2012.

UCLan Cyprus is the first university in Cyprus to offer British degrees not only at undergraduate level but also at postgraduate level.

The main advantages of the university in Cyprus are that the Cypriot curriculum is fully aligned with the British curriculum. Furthermore, all assessments and pre-exam work completed by Cypriot students are marked at the main campus in the UK.

UCLan CyprusUCLan CyprusThe modern university campus is situated in Pyla, 20 km from Larnaca and 3 km from the island’s popular beach at Dhekelia. UCLan is ranked amongst the world’s top 200 universities (QS World Rankings, 2012), offering students over 300 undergraduate degree programmes and over 200 postgraduate programmes.

UCLan is a recognised leader in teaching programmes in journalism, business and criminology. The university’s programmes in pharmacy, architecture and astrophysics are also particularly popular. During the summer, UCLan, in partnership with the Malvern House language school, offers specialised IELTS preparation courses for young people aged 15 to 21, with 30 hours of tuition per week, held on the Pyle campus.
