Athens, Greece. Greek rescue teams searched for possible trapped people on Tuesday after a four-storey apartment block collapsed in the Petralona area of Athens, according to the fire brigade. Four people who were earlier reported trapped were later located and found to be safe, but the operation continued.
Search operation continues
Crews with rescue dogs searched through the rubble while other forces remained on standby, the fire brigade said in a statement.
Cause not yet clear
The fire brigade said the cause of the collapse was not immediately clear. The building had seven apartments, and construction work was underway in an adjacent building.
