CSE suspends trading of Cyprus 13-week Treasury Bills ahead of delisting

Nicosia, Cyprus. The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) announced the suspension of trading for the Republic of Cyprus’ 13-week Treasury Bills (Series 2026, First Issue) ahead of their delisting. Trading will be suspended from April 21, 2026 to April 23, 2026 inclusive.

Suspension period and instrument details

The securities cover the period from January 23, 2026 to April 24, 2026 and are identified under the trading code TB13A26. The CSE said the suspension will allow the clearing of transactions to be completed ahead of the delisting process.

Delisting from exchange and depository

Following completion of the clearing process, the Treasury Bills will be removed from both the exchange and the Central Securities Depository and Registry on April 24, 2026.

Rationale and legal basis

The CSE said the measure is intended to ensure the orderly settlement of all outstanding trades, protect investors, and safeguard the proper functioning of the market during the transition period. The exchange said the decision was implemented in accordance with Article 183 of the Securities and Cyprus Stock Exchange Law, which governs procedures related to suspension and delisting of securities.
