The team of scientists from the Cambridge University, which includes Cypriot scientists, have found the genetic weaknesses in one of the types of Leukemia- acute myeloid leukemia. The acquired data will help to prevent further spread of the Leukemia in the human organism.
The basic method of curing leukemia did not change over the lasst several decades, however Cypriot scientist George Vasiliou and his colleagues hope that their research will lead into the creation of more effective methods to cure this illness.
