Cyprus Economic Sentiment Index down by 0.8 points

Валюта

Economic Sentiment Index (ESI) dropped by 0.8 points in June. The data was presented by the Economics Research Centre of the University of Cyprus. Experts believe that this is due to the pessimistic views of consumers on the construction sector.

The consumer confidence index also slightly dropped, which means that consumers have no illusions about improvement of the financial situation and reduction of unemployment. The indicator of trust in services, on the contrary, has grown, and the retail business index remains unchanged.

Economic indicators are used to reflect the current state of the national economy.
