Cyprus industrial production falls 1.6% in February 2026 despite annual rise, Eurostat says

Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus’ industrial production declined by 1.6% month-on-month in February 2026, while remaining positive on an annual basis, according to Eurostat.


Cyprus monthly and annual trends

The latest figures showed that Cyprus’ industrial output fell compared with January 2026, when it had increased by 2%, following a decline of 1.5% in December 2025 and a rise of 1.5% in November 2025.
On an annual basis, Cyprus recorded a 0.8% increase in February 2026, compared with growth of 5.4% in January, 2.8% in December 2025, and 10% in November 2025.

Euro area and EU developments

Across the euro area, industrial production increased by 0.4% in February 2026 compared with January, recovering from a decline of 0.8% recorded the previous month.
Industrial production in the European Union also rose by 0.4% month-on-month, after falling by 0.9% in January 2026.
In annual terms, industrial production decreased by 0.6% in the euro area, while the European Union recorded a decline of 0.1% compared with February 2025.

Breakdown by industrial grouping

In the euro area, production of intermediate goods rose by 0.5%, while energy output declined by 2.1%.
Production of capital goods increased by 1.0%, durable consumer goods fell by 1.3%, and non-durable consumer goods rose by 2.6%.
In the European Union, intermediate goods increased by 0.3%, while energy fell by 2.0%, Eurostat reported.
Capital goods rose by 1.1%, durable consumer goods declined by 0.8%, and non-durable consumer goods increased by 2.0%.
