Cyprus property sales rise 12% in February 2026, led by Limassol growth

Nicosia, Cyprus. Property sales in Cyprus rose 12% year on year in February 2026, with 1,537 transactions recorded, according to the department of lands and surveys. The increase followed an 11% rise in January after a 24% increase in December 2025.


Nationwide results

A total of 1,537 properties changed hands in February 2026, compared with 1,371 in February 2025.

District performance

Limassol recorded the strongest annual growth, with sales increasing 24% to 482 transactions from 389 a year earlier, and remained the district with the highest number of sales nationwide.

The Famagusta area recorded a 21% rise in transactions to 63 properties from 52 a year earlier, with growth easing slightly from 23% in January.

Paphos saw sales increase 14% to 319 units from 280 a year earlier, slowing from the 25% increase recorded in January.

Nicosia posted a 5% rise in transactions, unchanged from January, reaching 332 properties compared with 315 in February 2025.

Larnaca recorded 2% growth, with sales rising to 341 properties from 335 a year earlier, after an 11% increase in January.

First two months of 2026

Property sales during the first two months of 2026 increased 11% nationwide, with the largest gains recorded in the free Famagusta area (22%) and Paphos (19%).
