Belgorod region
One man was killed and another was injured in Russia’s Belgorod region after a missile and drone attack that also damaged energy infrastructure, local authorities said on Telegram on Monday. The authorities said the attack hit the city of Belgorod and cut power and water supplies.
Horlivka
Five more people were injured in drone attacks in the Russian-controlled eastern Ukrainian town of Horlivka, according to the Russian state Vesti TV programme on Telegram.
Kherson region
In Ukraine’s southern Kherson region, two people were killed and 16 were wounded in an attack involving Russian shells, missiles and drones that began early on Sunday, regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin said on Telegram.
Zaporizhzhia region
In southeastern Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, three people were wounded following Russian airstrikes and drone attacks, local authorities said on Telegram.
Kyiv
Russia also pounded Kyiv and surrounding areas on Sunday with hundreds of drones and missiles in one of the heaviest bombardments of the capital since the start of the four-year war, firing an Oreshnik hypersonic missile near the city. Russia and Ukraine deny deliberately targeting civilians.
