The residents of Limassol are complaining about the lack of parking spaces and permanent traffic jams. Also drivers are worried about the decision of the local municipality to introduce one-way streets in the regions, which do not experience high traffic volumes.
In turn, the mayor of Limassol Nicos Nicolaides stated that the Municipality is looking for new solutions of the traffic problems, including road modifications, multilevel parking lots and creation of the necessary infrastructure for cyclists and pedestrians.
In the near future, it is planned to introduce one-way traffic on Anexartisias Street and to create bus lanes, new parking spaces and terminals.
