Los Angeles, United States. Cypriot sailor Pavlos Kontides moved into first place in the overall ILCA 7 standings at the Los Angeles Grand Slam following another day of Golden Fleet racing.
Kontides, the world number one, recorded two fifth-place finishes and a seventh-place finish in the day’s three races.

The results, combined with two fourth-place finishes in the opening finals, lifted Kontides to the top of the leaderboard.
Australian Matt Wearn is second overall, while Ireland’s Finn Lynch is third.
Two races remain before the top 10 sailors qualify for the medal races.
ILCA 6 competition
In the ILCA 6 event, Cyprus’ Marilena Makri is 26th overall.
