The problem with parking space on the Piale Pascha street in Larnaca has not been resolved yet.
The Philelephteros reports that after 2 years since the completion of the pedestrian zone project, the city has acquired a spectacular seaside which stretches for 2 km. However, the Municipality of Laranca and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are not making any efforts to resolve the matter of parking spaces.
The entrepreneurs concerned with that problem are stating that due to the lack of parking spaces, they are losing up to 20% of customers. People are reluctant to walk over 1 km from the nearest parking lot up to the catering establishments. Some individuals are parking their cars in prohibited area and consequently are being fined or are blocking the way for cars near the private houses.
