Mayor of Limassol Nikos Nikolaidis informed the municipality that from now on his pension will be transferred to a special city fund. The city fund will be used for social initiatives and organisation of cultural events in Limassol.
Last year in December, just before the municipal elections, Nikolaidis promised to transfer the pension he is receiving as a former government official for city needs.
The committee consisting of mayor, his deputy and the secretary will decide on financing the city projects from the special city fund.
