Limassol, Cyprus. Police are investigating the cause of a car fire that broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning near the city’s old town. The vehicle is owned by a 28-year-old man, authorities said.
Fire reported at around 2am
Authorities said the blaze erupted at around 2am in the car while it was parked near the old town.
Emergency services responded
Police and the fire brigade were dispatched to the scene following reports of the fire. Firefighters extinguished the blaze before it spread further.
Scene cordoned off for examinations
Police said the area was cordoned off to allow examinations to be carried out later on Saturday to determine the cause of the fire.
