More earthquakes are expected in Japan

250,000 Japanese citizens had to leave their homes due to the danger of new earth quakes – the BBC News reports. According to the Meteorological service of Japan, during the next few days more earthquakes are expected.

Almost 30,000 rescuers are still looking for the survivors after the incident on the Kusu island. Additional medical personnel was sent to the evacuation centres.

On 15th and 16th of April a series of Earthquakes took place on the South-West of Japan with the maximum magnitude of 7,3 on the Richter’s scale. More than 40 people died and more than 2,000 were injured. In total, over the last few days, 388 earthquakes were registered near the Kusu island.
