The Pegeia Municipality announced that the new Ambulance station will commence operation on 19 of January 2017. This step was part of the reorganisation and modernisation plan of the Ambulance service.
The opening of the station will serve the needs of the large region, because previously the delay in arrival of Ambulances from Paphos already led to the loss of several lives.
The Mayor of Pegeia, Mr. Neofytos Arkousiotis, who was re-elected for his position last Sunday, said earlied that this step is “vital and beneficial for all residents of the region”.
