Дорога

Cyprus government announced plans to start a construction of a modern high-speed highway between Polis and Paphos, which is one of the largest resorts of the island.

It is believed that the new road will help making the traffic in the area safe and reducing the number of road accidents, caused by dangerous turns and difficult driving conditions.

The Minister of Transport and Finance is preparing to announce a tender for design and construction of a new highway.

It is expected that the construction of the highway will be completed by 2021. It is also planned that the traffic intersection will stretch from Paphos to Limassol and will include 2 tunnels with a length of 730 m and 290 m, 2 overpasses, 5 bridges and 9 underground junctions.
