Nicosia, Cyprus. An upcoming Nicosia Walk organised by the Home for Cooperation and the Association for Historical Dialogue & Research will invite participants to explore the city through its culinary landscape. The guided event will take place on Sunday, starting at the Home for Cooperation at 10am.
Culinary landscape
Facilitated by Demetra Ignatiou, the walk will focus on the flavours that define Nicosia and the stories, people and memories connected to its food. It will also examine the city’s changing anthropogeography and the ways in which people, histories and places are intertwined over time.
Recipes and influences
The walk will highlight the journeys of families, artisans and entrepreneurs who preserve recipes and flavours from the past, as well as others who introduce new tastes and influences that reflect the city’s evolving identity.
Event details
The walk will run from 10am to 12pm on May 31. It will be held in English, with a participation fee of €10. The meeting point is the Home for Cooperation in Nicosia.
