After the careful consideration of the details of the deal, the Parliament has agreed to the commercialization of the Limassol port and accepted the rules suggested by the Parliamentary transport committee.
The press-release stresses the importance of this achievement and the fact that the deal was finalized on time and in accordance with the initial time frame, which was set by the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Works, thus ending the process which was initiated almost 2 years ago.
Mr. Demetriades also stated that the closing of that deal will not only result in significant financial profits (which are expected to be around 1,9 billion Euros), but also attract further investments in the port operations. The Minister also pointed out further additional benefits which emerge from that deal.
