The ex-mayor of Polis Mr. Angelos Georgiou Odisseos requested to pay him one-off payment for the amount of 90,000 Euros and set his monthly pension at the level of 2,100 Euros. The ex-mayor believes that he earned the privilege to get these amounts for the time that he served as the head of the municipality.
Nevertheless, the current mayor of Polis Mr. Yiotis Papachristofi argues that such requests do not have any basis. He also believes that “payment of such amounts cannot even be imagined by the Chrysochous municipality”.
The Auditor General Odesseas Michaelides will decide upon the situation.
