In Argentine, the researchers have discovered the largest meteorite weighing 30.8 tons. The object was located in the area called “Skyfield” in the South-Western part of the Chako province. This is the place, where the largest ever meteor shower fell took place.
Until today, about 35% of the objects, which well back then, have been found. Quite recently, a meteor has exploded above the mountain regions of Cyprus. However he only weighed a few kilograms.
It is known that the angel of incidence was around 45°.
