The First Lady of Cyprus is against cancer

Andri Anastasiadis

Cancer is the second most frequent cause of death in Cyprus. The First Lady has made the relevant announcement by drawing the attention to the dangers of such diseases.

“Every year more than 3,000 cases of cancers are being registered on the island, so the government of Cyprus has formed a National Oncology Committee, which is cooperating with the Minister of Health Mr. Giorgos Pamborides” – said Mrs. Andri Anastasiades.

Whilst giving her speech during the lecture of the famous oncologist Dr. Hayat, she thanked the scientist and the philanthropist Ms. Marianna Vardionogiannis for their great contribution to combat cancer in Cyprus.
