According to the statistical service of Cyprus, the income from tourism in 2016 have exceeded the results of 2015. From January until October the income amounted the 2,2 billion Euros, which is 13% more than for the same period of 2015.
For example: In October 20156, the government earned 226 million Euros and it is 17% more than during the same month of the previous year.
Overall, income from tourism forms 25% of the whole economy of the island. The total income from tourism from the last year was 2,1 billion Euros.
