The new and long-awaited military hospital in Nicosia is almost ready to admit the first patients.
The planning of the new medical facility started 5 years ago, however the construction was stopped due to the disagreements between the contractors and sub-contractors. Due to that, the Ministry of Defence has cancelled the contract and made a new tender for the works.
The new two-store hospital will feature new operating theaters and wards, blood bank and laboratory, as well as administrative section, cafeteria, dining room and storage.
