The new academic year in Cyprus will start with the strike of the teachers. The relevant decision was made after voting of the members of the “Poed” trade union, which is protecting the rights of the educators.
According to the local media, the trade union did not find a better way to get the attention of the Ministry of Education on everyday issues such as additional support for those pupils, who are not strong in Greek and Math, as well as serious violations of discipline in the schools and absence of real financial support.
