The number of individuals with cancerous diseases in Cyprus has increased. According to the dermatologist Dr. Constantinos Simeonides, there is an increase in the number of patients with melanomas and other cancerous skin conditions.
Without stating the exact figures, doctor has warned that the “First sign of melanoma is an increase in the size, shape or color of the nevi”. He also pointed out that men more often have them on the head and neck, whilst women on the upper parts of their hands.
Dr. Simeonides recommends to seek medical advice immediately after noticing any skin changes.
