Paphos, Cyprus. The trial of a 37-year-old British father charged with causing death by recklessness following the death of his son continues before Paphos district court on Friday morning.
The man had been released on strict conditions pending the start of the trial.
Bail conditions
The defendant was required to pay €20,000 bail, surrender his travel documents and report to Paphos central police station once a week.
Death during holiday
The man and his family were staying at a hotel in Paphos when his son fell to his death on the evening of July 12, the first day of their holiday.
The father was arrested later that day and was initially remanded in custody for eight days following his first court appearance.
