Larnaca, Cyprus. TUI and Jet2 will expand their presence in Larnaca during the next tourist season, adding the district to their programmes.
Expanded British market presence
The Larnaca tourism board said on Friday that the move would strengthen the district’s position in the British tourism market.
TUI will include major hotels in the district in its programme for the first time, while Jet2 will return after a multiyear absence.
Winter tourism prospects
According to the tourism board, Jet2’s return will feature a strong programme through partnerships with hotels across the district.
The organisation said the development was expected to increase Larnaca’s visibility among British travellers and support tourism growth beyond the traditional peak season.
It added that the programme could create favourable prospects for further expansion during the winter period.
Coordinated efforts
The board said Larnaca’s inclusion in the programmes of Britain’s two largest tour operators reflected coordinated, long-term efforts by stakeholders to upgrade and strengthen the destination’s competitiveness.
