“Turkish-cypriots should be entitled to get the leading position in the government”

During his speech, Archbishop Chrysostomos said, that Turkish-Cypriots, who are a minority (only 18% of the entire population) should not be entitled to be elected as the President of Cyprus.

As far as the displaced individuals are concerned, he said that those, who married Turkish-Cypriots will have the right to stay, but others must leave the island.

In his speech he referred to the situation in the Middle East and said that the Christianity must remain on this territory and that the Orthodox church will make every effort to end this war.
