Nicosia, Cyprus. Two men were arrested during the Cyprus cup finals at Nicosia’s GSP stadium on Friday, police said. Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
First arrest
According to police, a 19-year-old man was arrested around 8.45pm after officers found five fireworks, 13 firecrackers and eight flares in his car in the stadium parking lot.
Second arrest
In a separate incident, a 31-year-old man was arrested around 5.50pm after throwing a lit flare towards a security guard and allegedly attacking him.
