Cypriot scientist found a way to treat Alzheimer’s

The research of the Cypriot female scientist will help to cure the Alzheimer’s disease. Loukia Katsouris and the team of the Imperial College in London made a breakthrough in treating the Alzheimer’s. The recent results showed that gene therapy together with medicines may become one of the best preventive measures of this disease.

During their experiment, which was done on mice, the scientists have prevented the development of the Alzheimer’s disease by delivering a specific gene to the brain with the help of a virus.

The Alzheimer’s disease is the chronic disease, which usually gets worse over time.
