Kokkinotrimithia, Cyprus. An 87-year-old man was seriously injured on Wednesday after his vehicle collided with a light lorry in Kokkinotrimithia, police said. He was taken to Nicosia general hospital and remains in intensive care in critical condition.


Collision on Griva Digenis avenue

Police said the collision occurred at around 11am as the man was driving along Griva Digenis avenue in Kokkinotrimithia. The man reportedly lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a light lorry driven by a 35-year-old.

Hospital treatment

The 87-year-old was transported by ambulance to Nicosia general hospital, where doctors found he had suffered multiple fractures. He remains in intensive care in critical condition.

The 35-year-old driver of the lorry received first aid at Nicosia general hospital and was discharged, police said.
