Paphos, Cyprus. The cause of death of a man found dead on the Akamas coast remains undetermined after an autopsy conducted on Thursday, police said. The body was in a decomposed condition, preventing a definitive conclusion.

Autopsy findings

Police said the post mortem examination was carried out at Paphos general hospital by state pathologist Nicholas Charalambous. The examination did not allow for the determination of the cause of death due to the decomposed condition of the body.

Identification efforts

Authorities have taken samples and other evidence to identify the individual. Police are also examining the possibility that the body belongs to someone listed on the missing persons register.

Discovery and investigation

The body was discovered on the Akamas coast on Monday morning by a fisherman who was fishing in the area. Investigations are ongoing.
