Nicosia, Cyprus. Bank of Cyprus (BoC) announced that group chief executive Panicos Nicolaou will remain in his role until December 31, 2031, after the boards of BoC Holdings approved the extension at their respective Wednesday meetings.

Contract amendment and previous extension

The bank said Nicolaou will sign an amendment to his current employment contract to formalise the extended appointment.

His tenure had previously been extended in November 2024 to December 31, 2028. The latest approval adds three years to that agreed term.

Boards acknowledge his contribution

Nicolaou has held the group chief executive position since September 2019, according to the announcement.

The boards thanked him for his contribution to the group throughout his tenure and expressed their wishes for his continued success during the extended term.
