Body found in vehicle near Tijuana stadium where Iran trains for 2026 World Cup

Tijuana, Mexico. Mexican authorities discovered a body inside the trunk of an abandoned vehicle near Caliente Stadium in Tijuana, where the Iranian national team is training for the 2026 World Cup. The incident caused disruption in the area surrounding the stadium.

Discovery near stadium

Police officers found a grey SUV with California licence plates in a supermarket parking lot directly across from Caliente Stadium, according to reports. During an inspection of the vehicle, they found a decomposing body in the trunk.

Condition of the body

Authorities said the body was wrapped in a black plastic bag and showed clear signs of violence.
