Court will decide upon the elections

The current mayor of Limassol Nicos Nicolaides and the representatives of his administration are intending to file a complaint about the request to recount the votes during the elections of last December. In the end, the Court will rule upon this case.

The AKEL candidate and ex-mayor of Limassol Andreas Christou lost to the current mayor only by nine votes.

According to AKEL, the defeat was due to manipulations with the votes- part of the ballots for Chrisotu were mistakenly deemed as void.
