Nicosia, Cyprus. The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) has expressed thanks to those who honoured its late deputy general manager, Nikos Trypatsas, by attending his funeral, sending condolences, offering wreaths or donating in his memory.

Council and staff express gratitude

In a statement released on Thursday, the CSE’s council and staff thanked everyone who paid their respects, recognising Trypatsas’s years of service, integrity and personal character.

The exchange said Trypatsas died on Monday after a lengthy illness with cancer. He had joined the organisation in 1994 and served for 32 years.

Following his death, the CSE declared a three-day mourning period and lowered its flags to half-mast as a mark of respect.

Tribute to his work and friendships

In its first tribute, the exchange said his death represented a loss that could not be replaced, both for the organisation and for colleagues who had worked with him.

The CSE commended his career, commitment and contribution to its activities and mission, saying his influence on the organisation would endure. It also recognised his personal qualities and bonds with colleagues.

“The CSE family is saying goodbye to an exceptional colleague, but above all, a precious friend,” the exchange said.
