Cypriot composer won in an International music competition

Cypriot composer Andis Skordis won the first place in the prestigious international competition of young composers in South Korea. His piano composition called “17.. why not 37?”  secured him the victory. However he shared the victory with a composer from Hong Kong.

Andis Skordis is well-known for his works for dances and cinema. His repertoire features operas, symphonical masterpieces and chamber music.
