Larnaca, Cyprus. Cyprus Airways will launch new year-round direct services to Rome and Munich from December 2026 and add a third weekly flight to Heraklion from late October, the airline announced on Wednesday.

New Italy and Germany routes

The Larnaca-Rome route is scheduled to begin on December 11, 2026, with two weekly winter flights operating every Monday and Friday on a year-round basis.

The service will expand Cyprus Airways’ presence in Italy, where it already operates a year-round route to Milan and a seasonal summer connection to Venice.

The direct Larnaca-Munich service is due to start on December 17, 2026. It will operate twice a week during winter, every Thursday and Sunday, on a year-round basis.

Cyprus Airways said Munich would add another European destination and connectivity hub to its network, providing passengers with an additional option for travel between Cyprus and mainland Europe.

Additional Heraklion frequency

The airline will introduce a third weekly service between Larnaca and Heraklion on October 28, 2026, with an additional Wednesday flight.

Cyprus Airways said the extra service would provide greater flexibility for passengers travelling between Cyprus and Crete and strengthen its presence in Greece.

The airline currently operates year-round flights to Athens and Heraklion, as well as seasonal summer routes to selected Greek islands.

Network expansion

With the latest additions, Cyprus Airways said its scheduled network would cover 15 destinations, offering more direct connections across Europe and the Middle East.

“The new routes strengthen the connectivity of our airline and Cyprus with Europe and confirm our commitment to building a sustainable network from Cyprus that operates throughout the year,” Cyprus Airways chief executive officer Thanos Pascalis said.
